Sports hypnosis / Mental coach
How can therapeutic hypnosis benefit athletes?
- Preparing for a competition, match or qualification
- Improve sports performance over the long term
- Release body tensions
- Promoting better progress
- Helping the body benefit from restorative rest
1. Preparing for a competition, match or qualification
Mental coaching, via hypnosis and self-hypnosis, aims to record all the right gestures in the body, and to clear away any tensions that might interfere with the correct realization of the expected performance.
In this program, you will be invited to work mentally on the precision of your movements and the adjustment of strategic axes for the realization of your sports performance.
2. Long-term sports performance
Hypnotherapy combines body and mind, conscious and unconscious, so that everyone can hear and understand their own balance. Paying attention to the body allows us to serenely accompany its complete rest, so that we can then fully engage it at the appropriate moments. Instinctively more alert, more flexible, the body more resistant, aligned, understood and respected. This optimizes performance over the long term.
When carrying out self-hypnosis exercises, be sure to respect your “personal ecology”, i.e. your body’s fundamental needs (rest time, informed training, acquired abilities and realistic margin for progress…).
3. Release body tensions
Hypnosis and self-hypnosis enable the body and mind to release tensions and blockages that may interfere with movement. All it takes is a physical or psychic micro-interference to disrupt the action and deviate the body from its initial trajectory. In this program, you’ll experience the key steps to muscle relaxation, flexibility and tone at the right moments.
4. Promoting better progress
Acquiring mental preparation tools to support your sporting activities is becoming a matter of course. The hypnotherapist, or “mental coach”, passes on mental training techniques to the athlete. Each individual can then take the liberty of using these methods to make effective progress at his or her own pace.
In the next 4 modules, you’ll be invited to play the game of mental preparation. You’ll gradually enter a new kind of cerebral gymnastics, rich in body awareness.
5. Helping the body benefit from a moment's rest
When the altered state of consciousness is induced, either by yourself in self-hypnosis or by a hypnotherapist/mental coach, bodily tensions are released. The whole body is immersed in deep relaxation, releasing muscular blockages and soothing inflammation. Sports hypnosis sessions are therefore designed to relax the body, as if to benefit from a “restorative nap”.
This is the first key step in a good hypnosis and self-hypnosis session! You’ll also explore techniques to help you fall asleep and get a good night’s sleep.
MORE ABOUT ME
As a former gymnast at the École Interarmées des Sports, training at the Olympics enabled me to explore the importance of working holistically on the marvellous cybernetics of body and mind. Maintaining body and mind is essential to achieving high performance. Mental coaching, via hypnotherapy, helps you achieve remarkable precision and lasting balance. Since 2018, I’ve been delighted to help amateur and professional athletes establish this virtuous alliance, by integrating a better understanding of internal mechanisms.
